Do it with plastidip first and see if you like it before paying out big bucks to have it done professionally. If you google "2004 dakota black wheels", there are tons of pictures of Dakota's with blacked out OEM wheels.
Yeah but how well does plasti dip hold up? I can see that stuff coming off in a few weeks and the wheels looking like crap. Doyou have to pull the tires off to plasti dip?
I actually did mean powder coating, not sure why I said paint, just slang I guess.
I sprayed my wheels (2nd Gen Ram wheels) with plasti dip at first. Then I had them powder coated later and so glad that I did, the look is so much better than plasti dip. Prices will vary, but like any paint job, you get what you pay for. Got mine done for $450, money well spent IMO. The center caps could not be powder coated because the inside is plastic, so I had my friend who owns a body shop to paint them to match.
