Default P1740 Transmission Code

Ok, I still have the dreaded transmission code. I have had the truck into the dealer 3 times over the last 3 years. They have changed fluid and filter, both sensors and the code still comes back . Stall test done by dealer was OK.
The truck is a 2000 base model, 3.9L magnum engine, 2x4, with 235/75/15 tires. I purchased the truck with 89,000 miles and had 15 in wheels mounted. Truck now has 109,000 and check engine light is still ON.
The build sheet states this truck came with 245/70/16 tires, so could running 15 inch wheels be the reason the P1740 code has been on for 2-1/2 years since I purchased it used. When it comes time to have the truck inspected in NY, I clear the code and run it for a few days so the OBD check does not come back as "Not Ready". Within 4 days the check engine light comes back on after clearing it.

I think your dealer is screwing you.

It's a torque converter clutch or overdrive solenoid problem. A stall test won't pick that up.
