I've only seen it on a 4.7. It can be done. Not cheap. I'd look into gears instead.

the 3.55 was for economy not towing if you installed taller tires then it really sucks for towing.

So lower tires or gears or both

I've been wanting to change out my gears for 3 years now I don't tow but having the 2.5 engine it lacks power as I put taller tires on. but I don't want too much a change just to a 3.73 possibly 3.90 as I'm just a city driver.

Like they said, change the gears instead. It's cheaper, won't cause you the headaches a turbo can, and will probably give you a similar performance gain. I would even consider swapping out the 3.7 for a 4.7 before I put a turbo on it.

The amount of work that goes into properly mounting a turbo you would be better to swap in a v8 or sell the truck for one with a v8... Just a few items that come to mind with putting a turbo on...
Turbo
Custom pipe engine/intercooler
Custom engine tuning to run right
Mounting the turbo to the exhaust
Different intake
Injectors
Headstuds

Right there you are about 2,500-3,500
