At the bottom of the window there is a horizontal track. Two rods connect to this track via plastic grommets, the other end of the rods connect to regulator/gear motor. One of the grommets is broken.


I had this truck in the shop a while back and while there I asked about getting repair parts for the windows. They called the parts house and eventually a dealer that said I would need to buy a complete $150 regulator just to get the grommets. I hope this is not the case but I cannot find this part anywhere.

Skip the dealer. You can find a new assembly much cheaper online or from your local parts store.

What I did when mine failed was to head to the big box store and find a replacement roller for a drawer slide, like in your kitchen. I had to grind it down a bit to make it fit but it worked for a while.

Eventually I just replaced the regulator.
