Default Po720 witch one should I do?

I have a 2000 Dakota 3.9 auto 4x4 in I went to take it for its first ride tonight it's been setting for a few months at least when I started it yesterday it wouldn't stay idoling for like 5 mins then it did in I let it run for almost 45 mins in drove it around the yeard after n everything felt good in no lights on then I took it for its first drive tonight in with in the first few feet of pulling out the drive way the check engine light came on in bogged down a lil but then picked right back up in took lil longer to shift into the next gears then I got home used my obd lol reader in shut the light of it stayed off till I pulled out the drive way agin the gears were shifting better but still a lil boggy in first but thers no abs or brake lights on in the speedo works fine in I've read some threads in found that thers on sinser on the trany in one on the rear end witch one should I buy in change I don't hav enuff cash to do both in I need to do it ASAP please help!!!

P0720 is a "Low output speed sensor" code. That's the one on the transmission.
