Exclamation Wrong Transfer Case??

I recently bought a 2002 Dokata and the guy I purchased it from, has the wrong transfer case in it and the 4WD doesn't work. He also gave me another transfer case with it, but its missing the normal NVG tag. I need to know what the extra transfer case I currently have is, and what I transfer case I actually need.

Sorry if this has a solution somewhere else.
Thanks in advance!!

Looking on line I couldnt find the nvg part no. 32102. Dont mean its not there, just means I couldnt find it.

The upper left number may indicate its a 233 design. If that is true, the end 3 indicates an electric shift.

How is your truck shifted? By a lever or is it electric?

Also, do you see a round metal tag on the transfer case?

Do you have any more pictures?

That and spline count on shafts help id. the cases.

Actually, I think I may have found it. https://www.factorychryslerparts.com...2105472AC.html
If you hit the link, "whats it fit" it appears its for a 2001-2002 dakota.
Hope this helps.

Edit to say, I found that by using the bottom left no. P5210.........

I concur, i'd take that part number as being a 233 case, which should be correct for the truck.

Awesome. Thank you guys for the prompt response, I think that answers all the questions that I have.
I'm really needing to get the truck in order since I live in North Dakota and my Mustang isn't caring much for the cold every morning at 6am.

Have a great day!!

The Mustang isn't a good winter car????? Oh, say it ain't so.

I drove an 88 Firebird Formula 350 year round in Michigan. There were days that that just was NOT fun.

Funny you should say that. I purchased a 93 corvette conv. in 2000 from a man who worked for autotrader. He traveled around taking pictures of cars on dealer lots for the magazine. Anyways, he purchased the corvette when it was 6 months old and had it for 6&1/2 years. Drove it year around....... had 89,000 miles on it when I purchased it. FWIW I have now owned it for close to 18 years and have put 23,000 miles on it!! Gone through 6 rear ends, 3 transmissions, and 1 engine.
