yep, and i was down to under $300 left on my credit card..... *sigh*. well, heres the story, you all know about my cracked rim incident.... well, when i bought the truck the cheap bastard before me put on 225 55 R17 tires, clearly not the right size. so when i got my new rim, i brought it to get a new tire, and they told me they had to put the right size on for legal/safety reasons, makes sense. except now i have one tire larger than the rest. well thats not going to work. so i had to but 3 more new tires, at 2 hundred something a piece.
next, i felt my brakes fading recently, so i checked it out when i took my rim off to get fixed,. WOW, they were focked. so, i went on summit racing and bought some drilled and slotted rotors and some NICE Hawk brake pads. i figured, well, i'm already this deep, may as well get something i WANT and dont necessarily NEED. so i spoiled myself and bought a hooker max-flow muffler . i also bought a 3 foot section of 2 1/2" exhaust pipe, to bring that sucker a little closer to the rear axle, to keep the cabin noise down a little.
and thats the story, hope you enjoyed it

if you lived closer to pa, id say bring your truck to my buddy who rebuilt my transmission and is currently replacing my $480 half shaft and $99 axle shaft, plus labor for giggles. the work he did on the transmission was well worth it, fluid is still clean with not a hint of burnt smell to it what so ever. and i logged about 45K miles on it since the rebuild. welcome to 100K miles, how may i offer the bad news of repairs? haha, truth sucks, gotta put up with it though. all gets better in the end.
