Yep, do you need pop up pictures to understand? The surface of the running boards is a black surface so you don't slip and everything else around it is a gunmetal color.

I assume the running boards is strait forward to remove them but I wanted to know if anyone has removed them to offer some possible trouble solutions. If they had any. So if anyone can chime in that offers help and not a useless comment. Thanks :D

^ LOL ^

Running boards sould be a strait forward removal.

Removal and a lift will help in 4X4'ing.

As for the mirrors?....... IDK

I looked today and the running boards are held on by 2 bolts or nuts. I changed my mind on painting those.

I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILTIY FOR YOUR TALENTS AND ABILITIES. (In other words, if you F this up it's your own fault)

I am changing this thread to a How To. On Weds. I am painting all the door handles, Mirrors, the little plastic piece next to the mirrors and the plastic piece under the bumper. So I'll start with the removal of the mirrors and you'll have to excuse the order I took the pics. I took them after the shi* was off the truck. I will take pics when I put the stuff back on and post them up. The mirrors I looked on here and no info on them at all.

First remove the 3 screws from the door. The lift up on the door panel. GENTLY

This Pic is the passenger front and will give you an idea of what the inside will look like. First unplug the harness to the window and lock. Then the cable that goes to the door handle. Once that is done you can remove the panel and set aside. The driver front and the rear have more harnesses to unplug and cables going to the door.
the rear will have the tweeters to remove. Those also are easy because you pull tree prongs back and it pops out.
Attachment 105286

Now it's time for the mirror. Unbolt the 3 nuts and you will need to close the door a little to pull the mirror out. Feed the wires through and that's it.

Now it's time to remove the door handles. Peel back the plastic to access the 2 nuts to the handle. Pop the cable out and worm the handle out from the exterior of the car.

Now gently pull the end of the glass out and work your way around untill you have this.

Pull the harness out and GENTLY remove the 2 wires.

That's it for the mirrors. What it looks like now.

So I sprayed all the plastic with Bulldog adhesive first to help the paint flex on the hard plastic. Then shot the first coat of paint.

Nice edit on your original post Jerk. The time stamp says it all.

You know as well as I that is was completely incoherent and as if you had mixed two posts together... one about transmission fluid and another about color matching running boards. You had something to the effect of, "how do you color match the running boards to the transmission filter and fluid." I should have quoted you instead you try to make me look the fool. The fools in the mirror.

So you think I changed the topic of this thread because of you? WOW maybe if you're boy friend knocked down a few walls there would be enough room for your ego. Sounds like you're really but-hurt. As far as making you look like a fool, you did that on your own IndyD-bag with your dumb F'N comment.

Up to date with pics and pretty detailed instructions. Tomorrow morning at 930 est I will spray the bulldog first then paint then some clear. I spent some of the day with a 3m scratch pad roughing up the surface of everything. More Pics tomorrow!!!
