I was in similar situation. Two little girls and a 6mo old now. Got the 04 in my sig. Been super happy. I did stay away from the 04's w/Hemi as I heard there were issues for that engine the first year.

Here is a 2005 with 85k miles for $10k. No sunroof, but it's a limited with all of the toys

Posted a month ago, maybe it's still available?

Definitely would shop a 2004-2006 Tahoe. Usually the Durango is cheaper, at least it was when we bought our 2007 3 years ago. A lot cheaper.

My wife has a LTZ Suburban and it is taller than my Durango by at least two inches. It barely fits in the garage.

Whats wrong with the 2004?? My Limited (every option) has been trouble free. Best yet, no horrible MDS.

It seems there are more problems with the 2004 than any other year.
