Default Key won't start Durango

Hi. I have a 2004 Durango. Only one of my original keys started my Durango so I went to Home Depot and had another key made. The person programmed the new key and both keys were able to start the car. 5 days later, I unlocked the door with the new key(Key only no fob) and the alarm went off. Placed key in ignition on deactivated the alarm. Now neither key will start the Durango. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the engine started myself or do I have to get it towed in and have the keys synced with the module?????

Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes or more to rest the system.

Thanks for the information. I did that and it didn't work immediately, but after sitting over night, it started up in the morning.

Thanks again.
