You need to get a new one from the dealer, Im not sure what year but I do believe there was a revision to that part.

Default RE: water outlet

I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus. I went to the dealership to get a new water outlet and found that this part only goes for 94.70 for a cheap piece of plastic that insures the coolant waterflow to protect your engine........ I went home and purchased 6 minute epoxy and proceeded to pull the top of the housing off. I cleaned and sanded the parts, filled the groove with mixed epoxy and the top smeared with epoxy then glued the pieces back together. I coated the seam between the two pieces with several coats of epoxy and allowed it to cure for 24 hours........ Needless to say, I saved myself $94.70. I applied fiberglass tape and applied a couple more coats of expoxy to insure that it would hold together. It's heldup for the last 6 months and should outlast the glue that was used to adhere it the first time. I'm learning quickly that a Dodge is last on the list for my next new car purchase......... This car is only 4 years old and a Fiat makes it bad.......
