3.2 broken Tim belt issues
about 1.5 yrs ago the 2.7 blew and I droped a 3.2 in. The engine I shippen in had 18,000 (so the yard said) Ran fine for about 10,000 then the Time belt broke. I found that this also bends valves. i did a compression test to find #1 had low comp. I pulled the head and replaced the 4 valves. Reassembled the engine. The motor stills has a rough idle and will stall below 1000 rpm. No codes are generated. I may need to take another compression reading. God I hope I do not have to tear this apart again,
Any suggestions on what may be the cause. They only issue I had was that the TPS on the TB came apart and I had to reassemble it, with the help of some super glue. If the TPS was not reading correctly would I not be getting some kind of code when the engin hunts for a while then stalls? |
RE: 3.2 broken Tim belt issues
You could look at the vacume (could be a leak). Also are you sure the timing belt is installed correctly? You know 1 notch is enough to give you a bad day!
