yeh i had to change out the bearing on the driver side and the control arm on the other, but are you asking if you need to replace the whole metal wheel assembly? if you didnt get in a tiff with a curb like i did hydroplaning at 15 mph with brand new tires with my wheels all the way to the left, lol, you really shouldnt have to replace that metal piece.

yeh i just replaced the bearing and it seemed to be fine although you need to tighten up the cv joint bolt or you will get a grinding noise and a microvibration noise when going 35-60mph. i just tightened up mine to day i sprayed the bolt and washer with silocone spray so it will torque down properly because it does have alot of rust in there. i also had al 2 foot breaker bar attached to the ratchet to help troque down the bolt. the whole reason they want you to replace the whole peice is the bearing is pressed in and its hard to press it in but i got creative.
