Ok,
So i'm driving home from work, about 40 in a 35. As I come to a astop light, the signal turns yellow. I step on it, hard. I just make it through before the signal turns red.

Yup, you guessed it, flashing lights.

The cop gets out of his car, walks up to my window and says "Do you know why I pulled you over son?"

Playing dumb I say "Noooo"


Expecting to get the "you ran the red light" line, he says "Your exhaust is to loud!"



"WHAT? This car is bone stock, right from the factory" I say, "It only has 12000 miles on it."


So he wrote me, for loud exhaust. My 04 R/T with factory exhaust, is to loud......

WTF?

These kids run around w/ fartcans on there cars, and I get pulled over.[sm=wtf.gif]

LOL.....I'm kind of surprised I haven't been hassled for how loud my car is. The exhaust is loud, loud enough that if you're near me (behind me, next to me) you can tell if I downshift.

Oh yeah, time to go to court. And be willing to show the receipts and demo it to the JUDGE. Let the cop justify it when compared to any Pontiac with there rumble. That R/T exhaust (It's on my 04 SE) is damn quiet. And yes as a factory item it meets federal noise polution requirements. That is why the performance catalog is not street legal. This is.

As far as nailing it at the light when speeding to make it through, SORRY, Shame on you!!!

The opposing traffic ought to be allowed to T-BONE your Tush!

That cop had nothing to do but annoy someone[:@]. If u take it to court with your "FACTORY EXHAUST" they should throw it out.

My buddy is a local cop, he got the ticket taken care of, but says that the exhaust thing is BULL****.

Plus, my boys at the dealership thought that this was funny as s**t because the SRT is 4 times as loud......

Definitly take it to court. If it's the stock exhaust it's not your fault. I bet you the cop won't even show up so you almost automatically win
