Default 2005 Dodge Neon Tune-up questions

Ok...so I know this might sound a little dumb to some of you, but I have a question about changing my spark plugs. I just recently bought my 2005 Dodge Neon sxt last month and it has about 40,000 miles on it now. My question is what is the best spark plug to put in when I replace them. I pulled the plugs and they don't need to be replaced, but since I will be changing the oil and everything I thought I would change the spark plugs too. What will give me the best performance? Should I use the V plugs, platinum 4? What would you recommend?

Thanks

Do not use platinum spark plugs in a neon, I have only heard of a hand full of people that ran them sucessfully. I am running ngk's, they are awesome, but a bit more expensive then regular spark plugs.

My car had the Champion Platinum plugs in it, ran just fine. They were in there when I bought it and I did not catch it when I pulled them right after I bought it. I didn't really pay attention to them, but I replaced them because they wore down fairly quickly even in the 9,000 miles it was since I checked them. I replaced them with the factory spec'd ones. You can get the whole set for under $10. If you don't have any bigger performance stuff, get the cheap factory plugs that will do the same thing IMO.

-Yep, another V-Power user. No issues what so ever. I've used different platinum plugs in a couple other cars I've had with so-so results. And like Darth said, you can get the whole set for about $10.

-I have an older cousin who lives in Covington, I think. It's right across the river from Cincy. I might be wrong about the town's name, but that's where I think he lives.
