2005 Neon SXT.

Okay, so I guess I should start out by admitting that I don't know a thing about cars.

Current Specifications
-Engine: 4 Cylinder
-Transmission: Automatic
-Tail Lights: Stock
-Head Lights: Stock

Aftermarket Parts:
-SRT-4 Wing

Future Mods

-K&N Typhoon Intake
-PaceSetter Catback Exhaust System

I was wondering what could/should I do to add a bit more HP to my car? I want to keep my auto transmission, so any suggestions? Also, I wanted your input on what "color scheme" I should do: e.g. Silver body, black rims, smoked lights, etc.

Also, can someone provide links to where I could purchase:
-Smoked Tail lights (Are these tail light covers?)
-Smoked Head lights (Are these head light covers?)
-Head light eye brows
-Lip Kit

Thanks.

modernperformance. c o m! check them out they are great and awesome service..and what are your plans for the car as far as performance and looks?

ayoitzdan 01-04-2011 10:05 PM

Yeah I was looking at 'em earlier.

For the performance mods, I plan on adding a K&N Typhoon Intake, and a PaceSetter Exhaust System, any suggestions on what else I should do?

As for the exterior, I'm doing the black head light/ tail light tinting, lip kit, and I'm not sure what size rims to get..any suggestions? I was looking at 16' or 17' Enkei EDR9's.

Regular maintenance. Nowhere did you state you have taken care of routine maintenance. Do that before you spend $$ on cool aftermarkets; then have nothing left for when you need a timing belt or alternator.

I do regular maintenance every 3 months, change my oil every 3 months, etc.

darthroush 01-04-2011 11:48 PM

Good point. If you are at 100,000 miles, spend the money on a timing belt kit first...

Ok you can tint your stock tails using nightshade spray and you can do the same with your headlights or just get some black housing headlights off ebay. The front and rear come as a kit you can still get them at your local dealership but the r/t sides are very hard to find unless someone is selling them.

That's a good idea, I think the nightshade spray is cheaper. Any suggestions on rims? What size and brand should I get?

as for wheels, deviate from stock size and your performance goes out the window
