anyone use bosch super+ copper plugs?

i got plugs for my car but haven't put them in yet. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with these plugs or knows if they're any good.

I have used them before, and they seem to perform about the same as most other copper plugs like a similar Champion or NGK copper plug does. Also had the same performance from Bosch Platinum +4's and Denso TT's. I know you're not "supposed" to use platinum plugs, but in the real world, I noticed no difference at all in performance, mileage, etc. If you get them for a good price I say go for it, just pick a plug you like, gap it right, and drive on. You'll lose more money shotgunning new plugs in and out before their due, than you will ever make back in mileage savings.

A copper plug is pretty much a copper plug across brands. The 2.0 isn't exactly a high performance engine either, so just get whichever is the least expensive. Hopefully they weren't that much.

they were $1.99/plug which was the same price for Autolite and Champion. Gap is at 35 right?

showsxt 04-29-2011 11:39 AM

I never had to gap any of my plugs in any of my neons and never had a problem not gapping any of them .

buddhaman 04-29-2011 12:32 PM

i always make sure the gap is right even if the box says pre gapped

darthroush 04-29-2011 01:32 PM

You should ALWAYS check the gap. 035 is correct.

thank you darth, that's what advance said but they've been wrong on a few things with this car so far.

showsxt 04-29-2011 09:28 PM

Well I never gapped or my husband never gapped any plugs we ever put in our vehicles and never had a problem . I just but the plugs that come stock now for my sxt seeing they are cheap and in my op the best plugs you can have for any vehicle. Not going to pay more than 1.99 for a plug.

as for the plugs on the neon there good we run them in the race cars. also a high preformance pack but the best place i found to built some quick power was to Index the plugs. its makes the spark location directly in the center of the gas ball as it would be
