ok so this is gonna sound dumb.. but there r like 14 bolts I had to put on once I got a new gasket for it. I'm a girl. N I'm doing all this via Google (probably not a good idea) that's y I looked for a page like this but now I feel hella dumb

165 inch/lbs is only 13 ft/lbs. 100in/lbs would be 8ftlbs which seems a little loose. Is it crushing the gasket? As long as the pan doesn't leak and the bolts don't come loose over time.

I did the 165 lbs like it says in the book and it tore up the gasket and leaked everywhere. I don't know what to do.. would 145 be better? I really feel dumb asking questions on here but my ex husband kinda left me with it like it is.. and yeah

iirc, the factory uses rtv not a gasket....so if you want to use the gasket and 165 is damaging it; lower the torque. torque it, fill it, check it...if it leaks...go a little tigher.
