Code and light for "Small EVAP Leak" won't go away.
2005 Neon SXT 2.0L 5 spd. Since I just joined, here is another problem that has been plaguing me for years on my Son's Neon. I can't get rid of the Title code fault. I've replaced the gas cap, canister and solenoid. Code and engine fault persist. I clear it and it returns. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Dave

Welcome to the 2nd Gen Neon forum.
Good input on the installed replacement items.
My guess was going to be the gas cap, but I see you've already replaced it & the other usual suspects without joy.
Post up the actual trouble code Number's you have.
Did the problem come about slowly over time, or suddenly after some event?
You might consider rigging a smoke test, using something like a Swishers Sweet cigar & loosen the gas cap & blow smoke into the loosened vapor recovery line in the engine compartment & have your assistant look/smell for smoke at suspect leak points. Seeing as how the trouble code is suggesting its a small leak, it's likely going to be difficult to locate, so be patient & diligent in your search.
Some beginning thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
