Default 2004 neon speakers stopped

All but the drivers door speaker suddenly stopped working.Completely stock system,I pulled the head unit to check connections.Everything looks good.i suspect the head unit itself but it seems odd to me that all but one would quit.Anyone have any suggestions before I buy a new radio?

You could pull the door panels off and make sure the speaker wires are still connected. Take the known, good one and use it at the other three spots to verify if it is the speakers or the head unit. Is there a separate amp?

Thank you,I’ll give it a shot..The only amp is built into the head unit.I did notice the back of the unit is very hot after 20 minutes or so of listening.
