Neon mods

Hey guys here is a simple question. I started doing some more mods to my car one of them was giving my trunk that all around clean smooth look. I used a heat gun to remove the dodge, neon, and sxt letters off of my trunk how. I used nail polish remover to get most of the sticky residue off but, what else can I use to get off the residue. If you know any that are safe on factory paint I would appreciate it.

i found these 'bug and tar' wipes at fred meyer. i think they were like 4 or 5 bucks. they're made specifically for car paint. worked like a dream.

there's also some stuff called 'goo gone' that works pretty well. Finish off with some nice 2 stage wax, or a 3 stage wax if you want to get really crazy. Meguiars (sp?) makes some good waxes that come in different bottles. One's a stripper, I forget the intermediate level, but the third is a very nice finishing wax that makes the surface of your car look like glass. You can also take a step downa and just buy a strip and wax in 2 bottles; which isn't all that bad, it still looks great.

Post pics when you're done

i actually used carb cleaner on it. i sprayed some on a rag and all of the residue wiped off. and it didn't damage my paint at all. now i just have the outline of the letters u can see because the paint faded around it
