those statistics are a little accurate, but i would say the automatic neon is even slower than an 8.8 0-60. for god sakes i used to have a hard time on the on ramp gettin on the highway cuase the thing was soo slow.
The specs that 71RoadRunner gave are probably pretty close, but obviously they are all dependant on weather conditions, altitude, track conditions, the driver, the equipment being used, etc...my "best time" is a 15.8, but i've also run in the low 16's...so there are many variables to consider when looking at 0-60 and 1/4 times...
my best 0-60 time stock was like 11 seconds. But that was during the summer at like 94 degrees and i live at 7500 ft. So... i loose 20% of my HP just cuz of where i live (engine is N/A).
So... i dunno. i now get in the high 8's for 0-60.
If I ever make it to the track this year, if the temps are right and I hook I would expect to run somewhere around a 15.8-9 @ 86-89mph. You might be calling me crazy, but I've trapped as high as 88 before and that is with ****ty traction off the line. My personal best to date is a 16 flat. I've done it several times, usually trapping between 85-87. That was with only a filter on my throttle body and catback exhaust. It was also on my 15" wheels. But if I want to run those now I would have to roll with my snow tires, which I'm sure I would light up in smoke. But if you have an auto good luck getting below a 17. My car is a dog off the line, but all you with auto's must be really bad. And if I ever get enough money I will finish piecing together my turbo kit that I have been assembling for the last year or so. That would put a dent in a lot of peoples egos.
if i were u i would try and converting it to manual before u turbo it.my best trap ever was 103.1mph but strangely my best time was 13.8@101.9mph which i though was wierd
