RE: radar hardwire Q's
one goes to ground and the other to any fuse that goes on when the car is turned on. you can just take the fuse out put the wire in teh hole and put the fuse back. you should put it in the cold side of the fuse though

RE: radar hardwire Q's
whats the cold side of the fuse?
|
RE: radar hardwire Q's
cold side would be the side that doesnt have the power source to it directly.....otherwise if there is a malfunction, the fuse wont blow....i usually just wire mine into the back of the radio

RE: radar hardwire Q's
it works out great....as long as you have the right wires connected......before, i had my radar detector, alarm, and neon lights all hooked up behind the radio and never had a problem

RE: radar hardwire Q's
I got it..Tho i couldnt get the dash up enough to put it behind..but i put it down the vent in the top..Just ran it through the top with the dash pushed up alittle and ran it to the side of the vent and down to the radio..Works GREAT..!! Thanks for the info..And i didnt even think about it when i last posted but there was a screw to get the cig attachment off..:) I happy now!! Lol

RE: radar hardwire Q's
glad it works for ya.....it could always be connected to the constant or ignition power wires.....i always had mine connected to the constant, but that was just because we always used to party in front of a friends house, so when my car was parked on the road, we could tell if a cop was coming.....since the cops in my town always drive around with the radar on:D
but connected to the ignition wire it wont run your battery down;) |
