^^^^ Dang dude, your truck is really looking sick these days. You've really done a nice job on it. The wheels, the bumper, the mirrors. Nice.

I have the SCT on a pretty much stock motor and love it, quite a bit more power and passing people is a breeze, raised the overdrive up, and lets the motor just breathe and take off

i got a hypertech power programmer III. I noticed a pretty good performance gain. I raised the rev limiter 500 rpms more, top speed is now 128, programmed 93 octane and apparently it changes the shift points. I got it off of craigslist for 75 bucks and im realy happy with it! Also it reads dtcs and clears them.

Ive tried a few things

Jet chip = POS, dont bother wasting the money, lost hp/trq, ran slightly slower et, shut of mtr with firm/lowered suspension going over bumps which meant no pwr steering/brakes as well (spring 98)

MP PCM definately worth the money, at the time, best I could find.(99) Gained about 10rwhp, et dropped by .28 on 1/4m. Need 91oct, should add 180tstat, raised rev limiter to 6k & removes mph limiter

SMT6 - Need a laptop to tune(live) & you can data log or monitor sensors with it. Have to hack into the wiring harness, not plug n play. Figure I picked up about 10-12rwhp above what the mp pcm was giving on its own. Was able to run fms 24lb injectors with it (pig rich at idle w/mp pcm only) & pass etest (pulled fuel/timing in test ranges just incase). Running boost though I had some issues I couldnt resolve(possibly due to bad MAP).

B&G 408 flash, in its defense I didnt try it long, got it off a buddy & B&G had wiped everything from it but tune. Couldnt set the fuel sync with it installed, ditched it right after firing up the 408.

FAST stand alone engine management. Laptop needed for this as well as have to modify the harness. Runs motor only, will use mp pcm to run the trans.
Not cheap at $2k. Havent used it yet but it can data log & do diagnostics as well as tune (+/- fuel/timing). Also run aux equipment with it(spray n2o/fans etc) Easy to tune with according to my buddy thats run it for a few years. Going from a B&G flash to dyno tuning with the FAST his 408ci (na) went from 356/399rw to 401/457rw.
