Pacesetter Longtube Headers an Offroad Y-Pipe Install Tips in 2001 Quadcab 2wd
I installed the headers and y-pipe over the last few days. Goes through a magnaflow cat and aero muffler.
To install passenger side you need to reposition the radiate over flow tank. And remove the oil filter. Slide slides right in.
To install the drivers side remove the power steering pump and starter then it slides right in.
You'll need an extension cable for the rear O2 sensory as it's moved about 2.5 feet towards the rear of the truck. Also, double check the oxygen sensor connectors. Apparently 2001 had square connectors and round connectors. Mine had the round connectors and was a bit of a pain to locate. Found them at Napa.
One of the benefits, besides the sound and increase in power, is the transmission is now completely clear of obstructions of you need to pull it in the future. Very sweet. I'll add pictures later today.
