Changed my pass. side hub assembly today after procrastinating for a couple of months. Drivers side got bad, changed it with no problems. The passenger side finally started grinding so could put it off no longer. The reason I waited is because that axle nut absolutely refused to come off. Used a long bar with the socket, no soap, 3/4" impact never budged it. Even heated it with oxy/acety. torch and it still wouldn't budge.
Today I cut about half the lip that covers the nut off with a 7" angle grinder so I could get a straight shot at it with a cold chisel. Finally got it to turn and come off with help of a BFH.
Reassembled with the new unit and took it for a short drive. Got a bit of shaking at about 20, clears up at 35 or 40 mph. Am thinking that the PO nailed something hard enough to bend the stub shaft causing the nut to be jammed on so tight. looked OK eyeballing it while I had it apart, but we know how that goes. Gonna take another look at it tomorrow in the daylight, but doubt that I'll see anything.
Anyone have experience with bent stub shafts, or could it just be an alignment problem? The shaking wasn't there before, just that the bearings started grinding.

Went to my girlfriends concert last night, so I put some miles on it.
Went out to eat afterword, and I parked so I could get in and out of my truck easy. I parked over the line on my passenger side as there wasn't a spot next to me.
Well, this f@ggot in a lifted half ton Cheby decides he wants to snuggle up to my truck. grrr
6 in lift and it was only 3 inches taller then mine.
