What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Swapped out the Derale e-Fan controller for a Flex-a-lite.
Did this since I had a dud followed by a half working Derale controller.
The Flex-a-lite works great... spinning both fans at 60% is giving much better cooling as there is flow across the whole core instead of half (not to mention 20% more CFM).
At the slower speed, it is quieter, even though there's now two fans running instead of one.
The ramp up/down of fan speed is nice also... I had a code for high battery voltage, which I think was due to the spike when the Derale unit tuned the fan off.
I also put a new AIT sensor in the K&N intake tube (close to the hat).
I left the old one in the keg, as the keg will soon be replaced with a FI Airgap.
On startup it threw a code for low AIT input... the scanner showed 300°F.
I swapped the sensors so the old one was in the new location, and all was fine.
So is this just a dud Standard Motor Products part?
As an FYI; the AIT reads 52°F lower in the intake tube (100°F) than it did in the keg (152°F).
I'll see if this has any real effect on the MPG.

Used Ram to winch wife's car into garage to yank out steering column. Ignition switch will not release, and cannot be removed from column as bots heads break off upon installation as an anti theft measure. Gotta take column to dealer tomorrow to see if they can remove it - if not, locksmith to drill it out.
i moved iat to cold air intake tube, and advanced my timing with the crank sensor, couple things i picked up here anyway after driving more today i have noticed a big difference in milage and mid range rpm power ill be trying the 91 tune tomorrow morning
Took the '95, the quad, and the lady out to have some fun in the mud.
No problems with any of my stuff today, just need to get my front axle back in good shape so I can put the front driveline back in. Had to get a little tug from my friends Toyota when my 1 wheel drive truck stopped moving under it's own power.

What all is left to fix? Just cosmetic mostly?
What did I do? Looked at it. That's it. lol
The front end still looks like this, so you can tell what still needs to be done. It has the passenger side headlight still though.
I didn't realize the truck was still completely faceless. lol
At least get a grille on it.
