Default New Pads and Rotors

Got this set back in 2006 with roughly 60K.

I think they did well. Pads are a ceramic but have no idea what brand.

Rotors have some health but it was questionable on amount of pitting. $20 to turn each vs. $33 for new.

Replaced with Napa Ultra Premium pads and Oreilly rotors. Good enuff.

I don't like the effort involved with changing out the pads/rotors at the same time.

I bought another 2nd gen yesterday.

2001 3500 24v Cummins 4x4 6spd manual. 208k miles. Factory chassis cab configuration, so 10 foot flat bed. Disk braked Dana 80 rear end. 241hd transfer case. This thing's a gold mine. It had 2psi of fuel pressure at the injection pump, so I replaced the lift pump (thanks Jigabop for the cheap part). Now it is sucking air. I think it just needs fuel in the tank, because it is almost empty and sitting on a slight incline. So I haven't gotten it started yet.

The tool boxes and overhead rack are all removable. it is an out of commission work truck from the company I work for.

Oh yea, I got it for $1250.

So far I've cleaned the air filter, topped off the power steering fluid (nursing a leak), with the air cleaner off I decided to check the TV Cable, think it's adjustment time, there's 1/4" of slack in both directions....

So I adjusted it out (to the rear) a good bit, still play in the cable. Is that normal?

What did I do to my ram today?

I lost control around a corner on a gravel road, put her in the ditch and she rolled onto her side. Thankfully I'm not hurt. First thing I did was shut the motor off. My dad came with his ram then pulled me back up on all 4's. She fired right up with a little puff of white smoke. Nothing broke but the door is f'ed and the box side got quite a nice dent in it. Drove her home, changed the oil and I think it will be fine.

My buddy, a ford fanboy, said he couldn't believe she still runs like she does with no mechanical damage. He said he will never diss another dodge ever. I think I converted him
