Removed the nasty rust on the bottom of my driver's door and replaced the old weather striping to discourage more rust.

had an oil change done while at work today. was having odd oil psi issues yesterday. turned out my piston rings are most likely non-existent. pretty pissed about it, considering the amount of money i just put into it.

local engine builder quoted me mid teens(1500ish) for a rebuilt lower end, punched out .040 over. so ill be looking at another nice boost in power come spring.

Changed the oil, tested out the 4x4 in the deep snow and went and picked up some 14 gauge wires for some lights I had for my old truck, 100w Baja off-road lights, they're brighter than the high beams on my old truck and probably brighter than the ones on this truck too

I have some strobe lights up front, which I'll be moving to the sides and some tiny lights on top of my dry box pointing to the sides, which I'll be moving to the back and putting the new lights up front and checking out the Dealership tomorrow for some stock fog lights to put in as well. I like lights

Put a quart a oil in her she was running low. I don't think I'm burning much if any oil but valve covers look rather leak prone.

Also, my negative post ground wires were really dirty and giving me random starting issues. Got that cleaned up and put some of that battery terminal stuff I had laying around on them.

I need to aim my head lights and do the relay upgrade. Someone give me a link to that relay write up please

It was raining too much today, supposed to be light snow tomorrow, so I'll be wiring and moving lights around and be set for the winter. Plus picked up a brighter set of 9004's to help with the super dim, cheapo lights the PO put in

Seem to remember suggesting that you should do a CHEAP rebuild when you first got that engine but instead you spent all that coin on the top end. Having a fancy intake and roller rockers don't do ya no good with a crappy bottom end.

Look forward to seeing what you do come spring. Are you still thinking of a stroker or are you just going to bore it and new rings and bearings?

Way to go redneck. Shoulda done it right the first time. Haha. Who needs piston rings anyway? Compression is over rated.
