Thanks Wombat, it's like my favorite movie "shakin that bush boss" (Cool Hand Luke). The 24 valves are pretty plentiful. A nice 92 w-250 metalic blue 12v barn find won't come to me, I'll have to do some networking, drive around the country and talk to a few folks and be the first in line. Many folks don't recognize that some of these first gens that only have 100k or so, hardly left their county (local farming). I'll keep looking. K.

The usual fluid checks where done today (nothing needed).
I'm adding ½ a quart about every 6-8 weeks, so I feel I'm doing pretty good for over 171K on the clock.
Getting rid of the Keg was a good move.

I also pulled all the plugs to check the color... they're not that old, but this last week I'm getting the sense that one cylinder is consistently not firing as clean/strong as the rest... but all plugs looks fine.

I've had a (very) random misfire issue for some time (don't know if the above is related or not)... in the past 6 months all sensors have been changed except for crank and cam position, with no change to this issue, which has existed prior to swapping the keg for an FI-Airgap.
The frustrating this is how random it is... it may not occur for say 300miles of driving, but then it might happen 3 or 4 times in a row... when it does occur, it is on the transition from decelerate to accelerate (even if gentle).

Those 2 sensors are known to do very weird things when going out. Might be worth a shot but sure a PITA to do. Did you do a compression test before building the motor up?

Wombat Ranger, good God you got a steal on that 90! You could bet yer @$$ that would go for 10X that where I live hahah. BTW I also now know why you always say 4x4 half tons suck rofl.

Haven't done a compression test yet... didn't previously think where was symptoms that would question compression.

I've been suspect of the CPS, but just haven't bit the bullet to change it.

Fog light wire was broken and hanging down thismorning when I walked outside, so I fixed it.

If this was any kind of reference to my truck, rest assured there was nothing nice about it when I got it haha. Lots of miles (dead speedo true mileage unknown), leaking injection pump, nasty but cleanable interior, the paint ain't great but at least it's not rusty.

I agree it was a good deal. However 2 months later I have over $4000 in it (including purchase etc). It's looking pretty good in my opinion though.

Kinda dirty, taken just now.

Pulled it into the garage to protect it from possible two inch hail :O

Literally had 1/2" clearance between the top of the garage door and my cab
