I had an adventure: As I was leaving the deep forest I noticed the new 97 was leaning left, oh, oh! Flat tire exactly 40 miles from nowhere. As I began looking for a jack along comes a younger 60 yr old motorist. He told me he'd be back in 5 min, & was. I must have looked very frail. He pops out better jacks a generator to run his air wrench. Clunk, clunk, zip, zip it was changed. The most I did was load & unload this my spare reminding me my Creator always ALWAYS looks out for me, THANK YOU LORD!!!!

Just drove it today. As you older guys might recall I had trans issues for a while. Since getting the new trans in I've replaced the headlight housings and switched over to LED headlights and turn signal bulbs. Replaced the upper rad hose cause the old one was rubbing my AC compressor pulley.

Future plans are LED fogs and a new LED 3rd brake light. I also have a set of these to go on eventually
Amazon Amazon
. If I like them which after watching YouTube videos I think I will I might look into a rear under tailgate bar to replace the one I have now since it's old and dying

Are you replacing the soft lines??? If they are original, I would seriously consider it.

HeyYou, Just got back to the site. I did not replace the soft lines.. They actually look really good externally. I know I cannot see inside, however when bleeding the system I saw no particles at all. Rebuild went as expected 2-3 hours removing rear drums. Rusted on and lipped. ended up break pins holding on shoes in order to remove drums. replaced all hardware both front and rear, new MC. Job has been completed and I cannot believe I was driving the truck based on how the system feels now.
