I swear, the truck seems to drive better at all speeds now. Weird. But I'm happy.

minus the axle, the truck will damn near have a completely new front end..
Only $315? That's not too bad. I would have expected more. At least now I know.

If only I knew what a direct drum was....

Sucks on the rebuild though. A little pricey maybe?

all the quotes were around the same. Cheapest was 1600, but the place i went has a good rep. i would have went another way, however my dad just died and two days later my wife left me, so im kinda broke. i got a loan from work and using money from my check to fix it. with all i have going on i need my truck back. i need to get back and forth to work before i lose my job along with everything else.

i hooked up a aftermarket temp gauge to the stock sending unit. so far it seems fairly accurate. been thinking of sticking the one that came with the gauge in the trans and put them on a toggle switch to switch back and forth.

took off my rear bumper today. 5 out of 6 bolts came off pretty easy with the impact gun. however the 6th bolt had to be cut, oh well. gonna go with new grade 8's on the new-to-me 2005 bumper. cant wait to pick it up tomorrow. has a couple dings and one dent in it, but for 60 bucks for the whole thing, is not worth arguing over.

been getting 12-12.5 mpg consistently lately. dont know what i did, but im liking it, ha!

getting my front right and left windows tinted sometime in the coming weeks. i believe the state, or my insurance pays for it because its a "prescription" from my eye doctor.

also, seafoamed my truck, and jeep yesterday. 248k on the jeep first time its ever been done to my knowledge.....holy crap, there was a TON of smoke. my truck..... not so much. but its been done before.
