What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?

My 1-year old Eastern high flow cat finally fell apart on the insides to where I needed to gut it (didn't feel like going thru warranty). The exhaust always had a small rattling sound. Figured it was just the y-pipe not being bolted tight enough or some shaky exhaust hangers or something...nope it was the bees nest falling apart inside the cat. It broke in 2 pieces and start making tons of noise and made the exhaust almost whistle.
Spent an hour or two banging the exhaust apart, the muffler just would not come off the intermediate pipe even with some heat, then gutted the cat. No CEL after a couple miles of driving so hopefully it stays that way.
And I couldn't get the right size exhaust insulator from Advance Auto so I can't hook the muffler up to the hangers. It's extremely loud straight piped. And I have to drive with the windows down all the time.. I'm not really a fan of carbon monoxide poisoning (or whatever it is)

I could have. But I didn't like the thought of flex pipe and I couldn't get it off. Even with cutting the ends off, the guys at the shop had to beat the **** out of it with a minisledge. It was on tight!

I didn't do anything to my ram but drive it today, but I changed the oil and cleaned the air filter and air box on my quad today. And my buddy made me this air box cover out of a plastic bin because I didn't have one on the quad when I bought it lol.

I get 400 miles out of mine every tank.

I would have expected to see such engineering in Louisianna, but not so much in the pacific northwest!

Took the Ram up the Maine coast this week on vacation. We drove a little over 600 miles and averaged 10.3 for the trip. Setting the cruise at 62 mph for 4 hrs of highway driving across NH and up the Maine pike to Bangor averaged 13.7 MPG. Not too bad for a V10 with 33" tires.
This is on the way up Cadillac mountain over looking Bar Harbor.

Kudos Jimy on the stats, getting the sweet v10 rig out, and the gorgeous spots ya soaked up. Thanks for sharing!
