When did you change your t-Chain? How much slop?

Lets say 120k, I don't remember but it wasn't too long ago.

i have a 3/4in breaker bar with 2ft of piping for leverage.....you think ill be able to get it if i leave the belt on and crack that bolt as one of the first things i do? i dont feel like waiting for shipping from summit so i might be buying it today from carquest or something

I think i'm going to do mine soon since i'm about to put in a new water pump. Was there a concensus as to the best timing chain to get?

I just got the Cloyes stock replacement for mine.

When I broke the crankshaft bolt free I used the girlfriend to hold a pry bar against the transmission housing and a tooth on the flywheel. You have to remove the starter and the inspection cover if you do that.

anyone have another way to get crank bolt off? Sheriff i dont have a second person to hold prybar in place....im not going to make the wife do it lol....and we have our daughter and someone needs to keep an eye on her....

so is there another way?

get a friend to hold it. they usually work cheap

lol i have only one friend and he is my boss at work, and what we do for work, you dont want to do anything afterwards.....working 7 days a week outside in the cold.

but if worse comes to worse i know he'll help me cuz i do all the work to his car, and hes right there with me...(95 Buick Lesabre's Starters SUCK...very difficult)
