Question Black Women & Trucks

What's up guys?! & Ladies!

I am a 25 year old attractive black woman. I am culturally diverse, speak proper, etc. My boyfriend is white and my ex husband was white also. I LOVE TRUCKS! The louder the better! The bigger the better! I am in love with Dodge Ram 4x4s and it is my dream to have one some day! Hopefully soon! But everytime I mention this to someone- whether they are white or black- they look at me and say 'That is so redneck.' WTF? What's wrong with a black woman driving a lifted truck? I understand I live in the south (georgia) and its uncommon- but folks! Let's break that barrier!

Um it's all about what you like. It's just not that common, nothing wrong with it though. I had a black girl at my work say she loved my truck. Now days you can't be narrow minded. Welcome to DF and hopefuly you get a truck soon.

I will admit I'm a little shocked and would have to do a double look if I saw you drive by.

The "redneck" thing would p1ss me off depending on who it came from and how it was used but that's just me.

Any ways, I like 4X4 trucks, sedans look funny and there's absolutely nothing wrong with living in GA or the south in general and driving a 4X4 truck. Heck living in the south and driving 4X4 trucks go together like.... Bibles and guns.

BTW what kind of truck do you have?

I have to say, a black woman driving a truck over here in Cali (be it a Dodge/Chevy or what have you) is just another day. Not a big deal over here. I think it's more of a regional thing.

To be honest.... I thought I saw a ban in someones future when I read the thread title.

Welcome to DF.
Just drive what ever you want, those folks that say its 'redneck' for you to be driving a lifted 4x4 are just ignorant. Ignore them and move on.
Simple.

I don't have a truck yet. =(
I am recently divorced and trying to get back on my feet so it will take me about 2-3 months to get 'the truck of my dreams'!!

Maybe that's what I'm after- 'double looks!'
