Im not going to get into what happened to the door cause I dont want to hear the dumb blonde jokes at the moment.
My initial though is to replace the door or doors if I can find a matching set seeing as other one is kinda messed up also from the previous owner.
Im also going to contact a local 4x4 shop to see if I can get some tubular doors built for it for when we go out playing with it.
Now I got to redo the paint job and stuff since the new doors just not sure I want a solid color paint job or a 2 tone paint job.
Heres some pics of the carnage on my truck...
and heres the passenger's side of it..

i'd rather hear the story of how this happened. i'll bet there was alcohol involved (again) lol.
is that the factory black color? if so, call the junkyard and see if they can find you a black door and just swap it.
otherwise, like hey said, get a door and take it to a body shop and have them paint it to color match the rest of the truck (fade included). the bad part is that anything involving a body shop is hugely EXPENSIVE.
or, if you plan to paint it or do other repairs to the bed, just start converting it to black primer. find a buddy that can paint a little bit and just sand it down and prime it. back a long time ago i had buddy with a 64 falcon that he drove with red oxide primer for about 10 years. i don't think he ever actually painted it and if he had we wouldn't of recognized it.

I know this sounds crazy but I have read about guys using rattle can paint and then water sanding it and it looks like a pro did it.
I also know a guy who used a roller and a couple gallons of paint and rolled it on and it turned out decent.
It is called redneck engineering aka A poor man's paint job
