Also if I was just going to get this tranny built later would it be a waste of money to buy a cooler and shift kit with tunes?

Not a waste of money at all, it will help your current tranny survive. If you want a ez cheaper build (approx $3000-$5000) for your motor have a look at Redneck_Rams motor build thread.

What page is his parts list on? Isent he building a 318?

Will the sct tuner make a difference running regular octane? Ordering it tomorrow. Also is it hard to change it from regular octane to premium tune? It's got a full tank of regular that's why I'm asking.

No, he went from a 318 to a 360 with loads of goodies.. You'll just have to read through the thread to get a list...

Yes, the "canned" tunes comes with 3 tunes, one for each fuel grade. Nope, changing tunes is easy, I think it takes around 5 minutes or so... You can go back and forth however you want/need to.

Getting that tranny - already has improvements in valve body, so no kit is required. Dropping old one out and installing new one is about a 6 hour task if you have the tools.

A cooler would be a good investment.

IMO if the OP puts any money into transmission stuff then the cooler is mandatory, as well as a temperature gauge for the tranny.

i spent around 3700~ including the purchase of the 360. the parts list is all over the thread, but mainly on the first few pages.

the first parts list included kb 107 pistons, but i didnt end up punching out the motor, only built the top end.

Find out how much shops around your area charge for labor and figure it out. Call a shop, you can get far faster results that way. What it costs for a transmission install where I live may or may not be what it costs in your area.
