I was cleaning my wallet out and ticket# 388442 pops up from the local quarry.


Gross Pounds = 9040
Tare (truck) = 5840


Net 3200 Pounds


Ticket says 4 loads (it was one load), and 30 mph all the way
home for 11.2 miles and 4 low up the drive with the number
#9 stone. So 1.6 tons on a half ton (don't try this at home).
The new wife had distracted me and the quarry guy dumped
the giant scoop in while I was talking to the wife.

Which leaves 175 for me, 125 for wife, 1 tank of fuel, 1 spare tire,
1 quad cab and the truck is on the stone. Yes, it's a 5.9L............ K.

 

I've hauled a little more than that with my 1500. A little over 2 Cu. yards of Lime sand in my bed. surprised me, it didn't squat near as bad as I thought it would.
