Different size tires on front and rear

Hello , new to the site and hoping for some advice. My truck has 265-75-16 on it now, rears are brand new but fronts are toast. I just bought the truck and don't have the cash yet to buy a pair but my cousin has a pair of coopers like new condition but are 265-70-16 , they are load range E like my set but a lil smaller I believe? Would it be ok to run it with them on it? hard to pass up free tires but if it will ruin my truck then not hardly worth it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

2WD, Yes... 4WD, No...

unless 4wd is absolutely positively never in 4wd. and if you do - it'll bust your t-case or hop around like a bunny rabbit.

I had 255/70R16's in the front and 225/75R16's in the back when I first got the truck. All have 265/75R16's now. Check your local CL and facebook buy and sells for a pair. I needed tires pretty bad too and couldn't wait around long enough for someone to post up a set, so I went brand new.

yeah I figure I might as well buy new, it has a new pair goodyear wrangler silent armor pro grade on rear but wanted little more aggressive then that plus there over 200 a tire. So probably go get a set of 4 and sell the wranglers on CL. thanks
