I'm Back!!

So does Fedex. I just got an engine shipped in from LA, had to pick it up at their LTL dock. (for my Porsche, $$$) The problem with slapping doors on a pallet is that they are so damned fragile. One bad move and you've got a dent the size of New England!

Well guys, I just received PCS orders to Incirlik AB, Turkey and then a follow on assignment to Ramstein AB, Germany! I'll be leaving the states this spring which means the truck is gonna sit at my parents' house for the next 3 years or so. While it waits for me, I might have it repainted! I just replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the K&N filter since it's been over 100,000 miles since I installed it. Man, those things get dirty. I also just started working on the steering gear...what a b****....

Appreciate it and I will definitely enjoy my time over there! I FINALLY finished that damn steering gear....ugh I will never again tackle something like that. I ran into so many hurdles trying to get that damn thing off. Only took me a week to finish... Alignment is scheduled for tomorrow!

ANNOYED...
So, I went to pick up the truck from Firestone and they said that I did the work incorrectly and they couldn't align the tires at all. They said the steering wheel wasn't clocked properly but I triple checked that. The driver side tire was out 6 degrees and I was able to bring it in much closer and now I have to bring in the passenger side. At least I got my refund of $86.05 back..
