Default Walmart 0 - ram owner 1 😁

Recently was walking through Walmart with my wife doing some shopping and we wandered past the auto center and noticed a set of decent looking tires for sale, Goodyear Wrangler duratracs in an LT265-70R17E marked down to.....$139 a tire. Quick Google search and saw them online for $253 a tire and decided i wasn't going to pass up the deal. Walked up to the counter and they started the ordering process and low and behold they came up $253 a tire in their computer. Lady called her manager and her manager decided to try and tell me they couldn't do it for that price, regardless of what they sign shows. Well after a few phone calls and a few other managers i received a call saying my tires have been ordered and will be here Thursday and will set me back a while $595.

Hmm my 285 /75r16 BFG TA KO2s were $600 after after a hundred rebate from discount tire. Tires for our trucks are cheap. Should never be over 200 a tire no matter the overpriced goodforayears.

IV also got larger rims than you as well which would add to my price. I ended up being $556 out the door tax and all after it was said and done.

I had those on my truck, paid almost $1200 at Wal-Mart, so you got quite the deal.

Overall I was quite happy with the tires and my truck is only 2wd......

that price doesn't include the mounting and balancing sadly. When i was in school i took automotive technology for 2 years and happened to befriend the shop teacher. Typically i take all my stuff to him and he works on it still and uses it as a learning tool for the class and i don't have to pay labor ( just this last week they replaced the AC compressor, dryer, liquid line, and front two brake hoses on my truck before i bought my tires). Well i PLANNED to take my tires in and have the class mount, balance, and align my truck but failed to look at the calendar to see that they only have 2 days left of school and will be cleaning the shop so he can't. So i need to get them to a shop on Tuesday to have them mounted and balanced.

I'm hoping I'll like them, the Bridgestone dualer Revo 2s they're replacing should have been replaced 2 years ago when i bought the truck but my account begged to differ. It helps that i drove less than a mile a day to get back and fourth to work and my truck hardly go out of town so between the short drive distance and the thicker LT 10 ply tire these should last me a long....loooong time.

They'll probably rot out before they wear out.
