Default Backspacing

Ok guys I want to buy aftermarket wheels for my 1998 1500 4x4 with a 2inch levelling kit. that are 16x8 what backspacing and offset to I need to keep the tires from sticking out. I'll be running 285/75/16 tires. If anyone could post pictures it would be a great help. Thanks in advance

Stock is 4 or 4.5 inch, on 16X7 wheels. You are only going an inch wider, so, sticking to the same backspacing will have the further out. Going with .5 inch more backspacing will have them not quite as far out. (basically, splitting the difference) Keep in mind, too much backspacing is going to have the tires rubbing on the control arms at full lock.....
