Default no spark/fuel pressure, 96 5.2 4x4

tried to pull onto the highway leaving somewhere, all of a sudden around 35-40 the truck flashed warning lights, shuddered and died
it makes zero PSI of fuel pressure with the key on engine off and while cranking. no spark is present either i checked one on each side.
i have a suspicion of a fuel leak, however i am curious if there is another issue that can cause both no spark and fuel. i have a P1391 code for a crank or cam sensor, and i’ve had a noticeable buildup of corrosion on my positive battery cable recently. any info is appreciated.

Bad crank sensor. If the PCM doesn't see the engine turning, it won't power the fuel pump, or coil. Genuine mopar sensor only there please. The aftermarket fellers seldom play nice.

Normal. Clean the terminals really well, and coat 'em with grease, or something similar, to keep air away from them.

my only other problem is getting a part number. for some reason i can only find a number for the coil underneath the distributor cap, not the crank sensor on the flywheel(passenger side of engine i thought?)

Rock Auto shows 'em, under Fuel and Air. Get the mopar part number for the one you need, depending on trans type, do a google search on that number. See what pricing is like. Check with the dealer as well. They might surprise you.

You can use a Delphi one also, They are a supplier to the auto makers so they are not considered"aftermarket". I have one in my truck.

so i swapped the crank sensor today and it made no difference. checked all engine related fuses, even tried flipping the ASD and fuel system relays to see if one was bad. is the next step an ecm replacement?!

Do you have a scanner that you can plug in, and see if the PCM will talk to you?
