ok so i noticed today that this little black box has been broken... don't know when don't know how.. but it's definetly not supposed to be open on the bottom.

so who knows what it is?

Its the evap canister. It stores gas vapors from the tank and then sends them tothe engine tobe burnt during combustion.

hmm... probably not good that it's busted... hasn't seemed to affect the engine or the performance (mpg, power, oil burning)...

thanks for letting me know what it was. i just noticed it and decided to post here. figured someone would know for sure and faster than i would by searching through my manuals and other crap that i have.

anyone know a pricing on it?
