All in all I guess I ended up spending almost $200 for a painted grille and all the inserts. Didn't really realize it added up to that much, but it does look a lot better than the old chipped up chrome grille it came up with.

RE: grille inserts
i just put it in over the existing one so that it would still have some structure to it. i attached it using thin wiring (wire intended for hanging pictures) that blends right in with teh gutter guard; you cant see it from the outside. just twist it behind the grill like you would a twist-tie. cheap fast and easy. looks awesome too.

RE: grille inserts
Somebody just decided to vandalize my car while I was gone on military duty...bstards. Gotta get a new grille, cut right thru the honeycomb and into the plastic. I've been looking at the ones on Ebay, but do they actually fit? The OEM is like $600 bucks pre-painted, while the stuff on Ebay is anywhere from $30 to $130...I'd like to go cheap, but don't trust it. Fortunately mine's black with the sport package, but do they come glossy or that injected plastic black?
I have a 1998 with the Sport grille, so it's a bit larger, any suggestions? Also wanted to put in inserts, vertical would be cool but would be happy with some horizontal bars, not chrome, something a little less flashy. Anyone see any black chrome, that would look badass!
