Try these guys for the hub assembly. Not bad on the price and will be there in a day or so. I did mine on my 98 pretty easy job to do other than actually finding the socket to take the hub bearing nut off. Just be careful when putting your axle shafts back in, so as not to damage the inner seals.

RE: front wheel bearing
well, last night as i was driving home from work, i noticed when i turn my truck left it makes a whaa....whaa....whaa sound the vibrates and i can feel it and oh man i didn't like it. so today took it up to tires plus and i about shi* myself when they said that both front hub assemblys (apparently they can't do just bearings) was going to run me around $800 [sm=insomnia.gif]. now assuming that it is the wheel bearing that is shot. well soon we are going to run it up to sears since there esstimate was cheaper. right now tires is checking it out to see what the he** it is. but i hope for the best!
just a little update.

$800 thats getting hosed, even if it is with labour, they should be no more than $200 ea and can easley be done your self. and yes the barring is part of the hub assy. if your not sure if it is the barring take it to a shop and ask them to check it for you to varrafy it will only take them a minute

RE: front wheel bearing
do it yourself man.. the hardest thing is setting the piston on the callipers to get them back onto the rotors... easy easy ****.. just packthose bearingswith lots of axle grease.
I rarely get anyone to tuch my truck, i took it to the dealer to get an oil change and tire rotation and they bent my steering rod, and it pulled to the right until i fixed it myself. I don't trust those guys as far as i could throw them. I also live in a job market where even a monkey could get a job because there are soo many jobs and not enough people. But still the dealer should be themost reliable workmanship, but that's far from the case.

What type of noise does a worn wheel bearing make? 98 4x4 5.9 QC 132Kmiles
Mine don't seem to have any play, however as I pick up speed I'm hearing a whirring noise from the front right. (sounds like tire noise, however the tires are relatively new <7K with no notable wear, just for kicks I rotated the front to the rear and the sound did not move/change). The noise does not change when turning. I'm beginning to suspect a sticking brake caliper (these are original) pad/rotor look fine. Any ideas?
