fitting 35's

Well ive decided to keep the dodge and i want to put some 35's on it. i have a 16 inch rim so what would be a 35x12.50x16' be in metric? And what type of lift would i need? i got 245's right now on it and i have a lot of room especially in the back. Would a 3 inch body lift work? or would i need something a little bit more bigger lift wise? i have a 1995 ram 1500 slt laramie reg cab long bed 318 motor.

I think 3 in would work but it wouldnt give you any articulation off road.

Here's 6 in of lift with 35's. I went with new 15in rims to get easier floatation sizing.

hmm... i dont have a whole lot of money i might go with a 285 tire or something. what if i went with a 33x12.50x16 could it work? no lift?

33x12.5 will fit with a 3" lift.

do they look big, compared to my 245's? id like something that looks aggressive.

35's fit my stock 2000 2500. it rubs on the control arms a bit but no biggie. i have new wheels with a better offset so that should remedy the problem

2500s sit 2 inches higher than 1500s. 285/75/16s will look huge compared to what you have now. it's a 33X11 inch tire, it'll fit on your stock wheels, and it won't rub except maybe at full wheel lock it'll rub. Thats what mine are in the picture in my sig. My truck is not lifted.

I don't know if these are aggressive enough to suit your taste but this is what my tires look like. They do pretty good offroad, and they're still have good street manners. Not noisy either.
