i have a 00 ram 1500 4x4 quad cab with a 360 too, but i maintain better gas mialage than you do, i have a AEM brute force cold air induction intake, and clean the throttle body out once a month, and this has given me more HP fromt the intake, and better economy as far as gas goes. im getting on hwy 17(ish) miles per gallon, and street i get about 14(ish) not too bad for an old girl. she has 125k miles and running strong, eventhough i just shelled out money on the torque converter, and transfer case. she decided going from NJ to So Cal was a rough ride.. so im paying for it now. hope you have a good night, and a great holliday

do you get on it alot or go over 70 alot cause getting on it really sux down ur gas and going over 70 w/ aero dynamics and everything reallly sux ur gas also

Air Pressure

You might go closer towards the maximum safe pressure of your tires.

I have a 5.9 and get about 19/15 mpg due in part to having 50 psi in the tires.

The funny thing is the ride is still plenty smooth but we have some pretty good roads.

What size tires ya running? When my '97 was stock with 245's and an automatic transmission, I got 15-16 normally, 12 with a loaded car trailer. I went up to 285 tires and now have a manual transmission. I'm pretty sure the computer is in "limp home" mode (not good) but I get 12 all the time now- on the highway, around town, with the loaded car trailer, doesn't matter. I'm hoping for a big improvement when I install the new computer and 4.10 gears.

RE: Air Pressure

damn, I'd kill for 17 mpg at anytime out of my truck. I get 11.8 mpg however my plenum is leaking and I think it's killed my o2's. before it started leaking I'd get 14.5 mpg on 91 octane (crap gas here in CA) with a very heavy foot.

2 mods that I've done really helped milage, 1 being the 52 mm fastman throttle body, added 2 mpg and 2 was adding a fuel cooler (do at your own risk) which added 6% better milage which was measured over a 1800 mile trip (cooler was added at the 1/2 way point and I kept track of milage).

All of the other mods in my sig just boosted power and did nothing for mpg. oops, I take that back, no the dual out flowmaster has been reduced from 2 1/2" down to 2 1/4" to bring back a huge amount of low end torque which bumped mileage back up 1 to 1.5 mpg after the inital install...

I get about 17-18 mpg combined city/highway with mine. 318, auto, 3.55's, 265/75 tires (about 35 psi), K&N FIPK, gutted cat. convertor w/dynomax muffler, and a heavy right foot.
