Default Code 0443 in odometer

Hello, today I noticed my check engine light was on in my 2000 Ram 1500. I took it to autozone and their tester did not report any codes. I did the 3x key cycle and I got a code of P 0443 on the odometer.

The only thing I did to the truck was refill it with r134a t get the AC to be cold. The AC wasn't cold since I got the truck over a year ago. (it was so empty the compressor wouldn't even turn on)

Anyone have any ideas?

P0443 Evap Purge Solenoid Circ

I think your solenoid is on the passenger side wheel well toward the front..... not sure if this would be an electrical problem, or, possibly a vacuum leak.

the purge solenoid is on the passenger side fender well, in the same area as the AC lines and charging port. its got about 4 or 5 vac lines attached. see if you bumped it in the wrong way, check the vac lines, check the electrical plug. maybe unplug and replug it.

Checked the lines for leaks and also unplugged and reinserted the electrical plug. Then I cleared the DTC with my sc3865.

Let's see if that solves the problem, will post back with results!
