Default Fixing The Cracked Dashboard

Hello,

First of all, am new here and want to say Hi. I just bought a 2001 Ram and it came with a cracked dashboard. We decided to get it recovered in leather so it wont crack again. The complete interior was taken apart and it is going to get customized since the truck is gonna get a new paint job pretty soon. Here are some pictures of what has been done so far.

I wonder where I could get work like this done around here... looks great so far. Nice work.[sm=smiley20.gif]

That leather looks good man, very professional work. I have an 01 with a Mint condition dash I am proud to say. When she was my pop's, he put a nice dash cover on her the day he bought it.

Best thing he ever did for that truck.

You did a damn fine job on that dash. Looks very nice!
I've got a new oem dash in mine w/the carpet cover thrown over it. So far so good.

That's a heck of a good leather work up on that dash. How'd you do that with the dash in so many pieces?

Mine broke up to pieces and I just bought a molded cover from genogarage.com, but i love the look of that leather. What did it cost you? That'd be one sweet DIY write up to have added to the forum.

I'd really like to replace all the cloth spots on the door panels and headliner in the truck with suede, I think that would be sweet. Maybe some leather A pillars too.

We are doing the work ourselves. Actually we are recovering with leather all the plastic on the truck. The complete dashboard was already finished, including the underpart, knee bolster, glove box, etc.
